r/whatcarshouldIbuy is the 10th largest of the 20 communities we track in Cars & Auto, with 801.9k members. That is about 11% the size of the niche's biggest community, r/cars. Across Nichory's full directory of 363 communities it ranks 236th by member count.

At around 13 years old it is a long-established community. Older subreddits usually have settled rules, active moderation and high trust — but also years of archived posts, so a question that has been asked before will be sent to the search bar. Bring a specific angle.

Its Nichory signal score is 10/10 — our blend of audience size and how fast the community has grown per year. Scores this high mean an active audience that is worth writing for properly.

We could not confidently classify this community's self-promotion policy from its published rules, so treat it as restricted until you have read them. When in doubt, comment helpfully first and save any sharing for later.
